The item works very well, better than you might imagine, simply because the iPad speakers themselves are quite good but lack the crucial ingredient: size. With this the already quality components get the added size they need to produce some nice sound with quite a few people reporting that the sound is louder and better than plugged in speakers. There are also some people that actually attached it, somehow, to their iPhone and got it working there but I am not sure how.

The main issue people have had with the device is that it sometimes does not stick on so well when the iPad is moved about, which is definitely a shame. It does clip on quite tightly so this should not be a major concern but none the less some have reported it as a problem. It is worth noting that this item has no strong negative reviews, which is a good sign.

The short version is that it is a nice device for the price that improves and amplifies the volume of your iPad speakers.
