How it works

The big problem with metal is that it has a high heat transfer rate. Essentially, heat moves through it easily and so transfers to your body and burns you. The material of this oven rack gripper is a low transfer material very similar to a fire blanket that simply prevents heat transferring easily and so prevents burning.
