The main negative you can potentially point to with the remote it is that does not have any real back-lighting. While this judgement could be made of many remotes, it seems like something this one should have given that it is aimed at home theater. Perhaps there was an issue that prevented it from having such, such as aiming to prolong battery lifespan. Still, it would have been nice for it to have back-lighting.

Overall it is a good product that does what it sets out to do: offer a remote control for your home theater PC that also enables you to type.
